Symposium Scope
The International Symposium on Fusion Nuclear Technology (ISFNT)
is recognized as one of the
premier international gatherings to foster interactions among scientists and
engineers to exchange
information on all scientific, engineering, and other technical aspects of
fusion nuclear science and technology. It also represents great opportunities
for reporting on recent technical progress, discussing many multidisciplinary
issues and fostering international collaboration for the promotion of fusion
energy development. The symposium addresses near-term fusion devices, ITER and
long-term reactor technologies. We encourage contributions related to science, engineering,
facilities, experiments, modelling, analysis, and design and safety.
Technical Topics
1) Plasma-Facing High Heat Flux Components
2) Blanket Technology
3) Fuel Cycle and Tritium Processing
4) Material Engineering for FNT
5) Vacuum Vessel and Ex-vessel Systems
6) Nuclear System Design
7) Safety Issues and Waste Management
8) Models and Experiments for FNT
9) Repair and Maintenance
10) Burning Plasma Control and Operation
11) Inertial Confinement Fusion Studies and Technologies
12) Fission-Fusion Synergy and Cross Cutting Technologies
The working language of the symposium and the proceedings is English.
Scientific Programme and Publication
The symposium will consist of invited and contributed technical
papers. Both oral presentation sessions and poster sessions are planned.
Technical papers will be peer reviewed using the Elsevier peer review process,
and accepted papers will be published in Fusion Engineering and Design.
Additional information on the symposium and Hefei city is available at the
symposium website, http://www.isfnt.com. Please check in frequently for the updated information.
Call for Abstracts
Authors are invited to
submit one-page abstracts clearly stating the
purpose, the principal
results, and major conclusions to be presented at
the Symposium. Abstract submission should
be done through the
electronic submission page on the web site. Abstract submission will be
available from 1 March,
2021 to 31 July,
2021. Further information regarding abstract submission can be found
at the web site, http://www.isfnt.com.
Miya-Abdou Award
Significant contributions to development of fusion nuclear
technology are recognized by nominations to the Miya-Abdou Award. Details regarding the award
are available on the website, and the ISFNT international Committee encourages colleagues to
nominate peers meeting the award criteria. A monetary award is provided to the winning
candidate, sponsored by International Academy of Neutron Science.
FED Student Award
Fusion Engineering and Design Student Award is an Award for the
best contribution (poster or oral) at the ISFNT Conference, presented by students. Details
regarding the award are available on the website. A
monetary award is provided to the winning candidate, sponsored by International Academy of Neutron Science.
Satellite Meetings
Dedicated meeting rooms will be available for satellite meetings
during the Symposium. If you would like to organize a specific satellite meeting, please
contact the Local Organizing Committee (isfnt-15@inest.ac.cn).
Registration
Registration will be made via the symposium website. The early
registration fee for delegates is EUR 850/RMB 6500 and EUR 400/3000
RMB 3000 for students (early
